An upcoming exhibition at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo entitled “The Universe and Art: Princess Kaguya, Leonardo Da Vinci, Teamlab” will include original depictions of the Utsuro-bune, a “hollow ship” that allegedly washed ashore in Hitachi Province in 1803.
“The Universe and Art” exhibit runs from July 30, 2016 – January 09, 2017, at the Mori Art Museum venue, which is located on the 53rd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower building in Roppongi, Minato Ward, Tokyo, Japan.
The Utsuro-bune pieces on display at the exhibit include the 1825 work “Legend of Hollow Ship from Hirokata Zuihitsu” and the 1844 work “Print reporting Utsuro-bune, Hollow Ship drifted to Kashima, Hitachi Province”.
