The NHK reported today that a 28-year-old civil servant working in Hiratsuka City in Kanagawa Prefecture was suspended for 6 months without pay for publishing four light novel books, which earned him 3.2 million yen (US$28,000), while on sick leave from his full-time job, breaking the Local Public Service Act.
Hiratsuka City suspended the man on October 20 for 6 months without pay for breaking the laws in the Local Public Service Act, but he opted to quit instead.
He also runs a YouTube channel about Japan stuff called TheDoctorDazza, tweets at @DoctorDazza, and posts photos of his travels on Instagram.
