It has become the third most successful Japanese live-action film of this year so far, behind Japanese idol Tomohisa Yamashita-starring CODE BLUE: The Movie (9.06 billion) and Hirokazu Koreeda’s Palme d’Or-winning film Shoplifters (4.31 billion).
Then the sequel film’s official Twitter confirmed today that its total box office grossing had surpassed 3.5 billion yen in Japan.
