The collaboration is entitled the “Kubota Love Kome Project”, with “kome” being a play-on-words for both “comedy” and the Kanji for “uncooked rice”.
The promotional music video highlights the song “Bei Mai Bei Be-” by rock band Kyuso Nekokami, a title that sounds like the English phrase “Be My Baby” and that is written entirely with the Kanji character for “rice”.
The love comedy manga included in the promotion are Urusei Yatsura by Rumiko Takahashi, Afro Tanaka by Masaharu Noritsuke, KARAKAI JOZU NO TAKAGI-SAN by Sōichirō Yamamoto, Tsurumoku Dokushin Ryō by Eisaku Kubonouchi, and Hayate the Combat Buttler by Kenjiro Hata.
