The official website for Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly, the second film in the Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel anime film trilogy, announced on Thursday that the film has sold 648,077 tickets and earned 1,015,675,321 yen (about US$9,255,626) as of Wednesday, 12 days after the film opened.
The film reached the 1 billion yen mark six days earlier than the first film in the trilogy, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel I. presage flower, when it opened in October 2017.
The third film, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel III. spring song, will open in spring 2020.
The second film opened in 131 theaters in Japan on January 12 at the beginning of a three-day holiday weekend and ranked #1 in its opening weekend.
