NHK announced on Wednesday that it will air an anime adaptation of Sumito Ōwara’s Eizouken ni wa Te o Dasu na! (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) manga, with Masaaki Yuasa (DEVILMAN crybaby, Tatami Galaxy, Night is Short, Walk On Girl) directing the anime at his Science SARU studio.
The manga was nominated for the 11th Manga Taisho awards last year, and it won the top Bros. Comic Award in 2017.
The anime will air on the public television network NHK General.
Yuasa and Science SARU’s new film Ride Your Wave (Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara) is competing at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June, before opening in Japan on June 21.
