Yoroiden Samurai Trooper OP Theme Gets New Version "Samurai Heart 2022"

Sunrise Music has announced that the second opening theme song “Samurai Heart” for Sunrise’s hero action TV anime in 1988-1989, Yoroiden Samurai Trooper (Ronin Warriors or Samurai Troopers in the West), will be re-recorded by the original singer Hiroko Moriguchi and Takeshi Kusao, who voiced one of its five main character, Ryo Sanada, under the new name “Samurai Heart 2022.”

The digital jacket illustration is newly drawn by Ken Mizuki, who worked as the anime’s official illustrator at the time.

The two cover versions will be available digitally in late January of 2022.
