One Piece Live-Action Celebrates 25 Years of Franchise With Young Luffy Casting, Video From Creators

Today marks the second day of the One Piece Day celebrations which started with the worldwide premiere of One Piece Film: Red in Japan last night and ends with the first TV broadcast of One Piece Stampede tonight on Japanese television.

The live-action series is currently in production in South Africa as the Straw Hat Pirates approach the Japanese theatrical release of One Piece Film: Red on August 6.

Playing Young Luffy in the live-action One Piece series will be Colton Osorio, who is best known for playing Felipe in the latest season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Rodrigo in Cha Cha Real Smooth film.
