The IT Media News site reported on Wednesday that Square Enix informed the news site that the company is “not particularly considering canceling” Nekokurage’s The Apothecary Diaries manga, after Nekokurage was handed down a suspended sentence on Wednesday.
Square Enix Manga & Books publishes the series in English.
The Fukuoka District Court handed Nekokurage (real name Erika Ikeda) a suspended sentence of 10 months in prison and a fine of 11 million yen (about US$70,600) for the crime of tax evasion on Wednesday.
