Mashin Eiyuden Wataru Director Shuji Iuchi Passes Away at 66

Iuchi was best known for directing all the anime in Sunrise’s Mashin Eiyuden Wataru mecha franchise, beginning with the 1988 series, until the 1997 series.

He also wrote scripts for Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future, and Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, as well as supervising the scripts in the latter.

Director, animator, and scriptwriter Shuji Iuchi passed away last Thursday, December 15.
