French publisher Rue de Sèvres confirmed with AnimeLand (a sister publication of ANN) on Friday that late manga creator Jiro Taniguchi had been working on a project titled La Forêt Millénaire (The Millennium Forest) at the time of his death.
Taniguchi had been working on the project for Rue de Sèvres, and it was planned for simultaneous release in France and Japan.
The project was planned as a three-volume series, but Taniguchi only finished the first volume before his death.
Rue de Sèvres plans to publish the unfinished project with “bonuses” such as Taniguchi’s drawings this fall.
