Amazon Japan Plans Live-Action Manga Adaptations and Tokusatsu In Slate Of Original Content

  • The Japanese branch of Amazon, a small company that recognizes as the supplier of boxes seen in the background of just about every episode of Bakuon!!, has revealed a dozen original productions for its Prime servce in an announcement made by Amazon Japan president Jasper Cheung, Amazon Studios chief Roy Price and Amazon Japan content head James Farrell.

  • At the time, Amazon Studios said they would be producing up to 20 original shows for the Japanese market.

  • Amazon Prime first launched in Japan last year.
