This year’s 52nd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that Shūichi Asō’s The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan) manga taking a one-week break until December 4, the magazine’s first 2018 issue, due to Asō’s sudden illness.
Asō launched the manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012 after drawing one-shot versions of the story in Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump Next! magazines in 2011.
The manga inspired an anime series that aired within the Oha-Suta (“Good Morning Star”) program beginning July 2016.
The manga centers on a high school boy named Kusuo Saiki.
