This year’s 30th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that the My Hero Academia television anime series will get a second season.
Horikoshi launched the superhero manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and Shueisha published the ninth compiled volume in Japan on June 3.
Viz Media is publishing the manga digitally in its Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and in print.
The announcement also reveals that the second season will cover the U.A. Sports Festival arc of Kōhei Horikoshi’s original manga.
