The convention will host two concerts for Uematsu’s Final Fantasy music: “Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy” on Friday and “A New World: Intimate Music from Final Fantasy” on Sunday.
Otakon announced over the weekend that it will host composer Nobuo Uematsu and music director and conductor Arnie Roth as guests for its musical festivities.
In addition to composing most of the Final Fantasy games, Uematsu also scored the Chrono Trigger game (with primary composer Yasunori Mitsuda), the Blue Dragon game and anime franchise, the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children film, Ah!
Otakon 2018 will be held from August 10-12 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
