Anime Producer Kouichirou Itou Pleads Guilty to Obscene Acts Against 3 Minors

    Wakayama Prefectural Police arrested Itou in February 2024 on suspicion of soliciting a 15-year-old high school girl living in Nagano for nude pictures of herself.

    The prosecution in the case of 53-year-old anime producer Kouichirou Itou, who was arrested in late February 2024 for allegedly soliciting a 15-year-old high school girl for nude photos, recommended on January 7 that Itou serve six years in jail.

    The Wakayama District Court has scheduled final sentencing for Itou on February 28.
