Asia Pacific Screen Awards Nominate The First Slam Dunk, Suzume

The Asia Pacific Screen Academy nominated both Takehiko Inoue’s The First Slam Dunk as well as Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume (Suzume no Tojimari) for Best Animated Film in this year’s 16th Asia Pacific Screen Awards (ASPA).

Shinkai won the Best Animated Feature Film in the 13th Asia Pacific Screen Awards in 2019 for his film Weathering With You.

The two anime films are competing against Tian Xiaopeng’s Deep Sea, Ricard Cussó and Tania Vincent’s Scarygirl, and Sepideh Farsi’s The Siren.
