Bandai Namco Holdings already has its Bandai Namco Entertainment (Shanghai) subsidiary in China to handle its smartphone app business.
Bandai Namco Holdings established two Chinese subsidiaries earlier this year: Bandai Namco Toys & Hobby (Shanghai) in February, and then Bandai Namco Amusement (Shanghai) in March.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Thursday that it is establishing the new company Bandai Namco Mobile (BNM) in Barcelona, Spain to focus on the development and marketing of mobile entertainment outside the Asian market.
Bandai Namco Holdings and Shueisha announced in June that they will jointly establish a new Shanghai-based company tentatively named “Shueisha Bandai Namco (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.” in October.
