The new project is a sequel to the Battle Spirits: Shōnen Gekiha Dan (2009-2010) and Battle Spirits: Brave (2010-2011) anime.
Masaki Watanabe (Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes, Battle Spirits: Heroes) is directing the new anime at Bandai Namco Pictures, and Atsuhiro Tomioka is returning from Battle Spirits: Shōnen Gekiha Dan and Battle Spirits: Brave to write the scripts.
The Battle Spirits anime franchise launched with the 50-episode Battle Spirits: Shōnen Toppa Bashin series on September 7, 2008.
The official website for the Battle Spirits anime franchise announced on Wednesday that a new three-episode anime project is in production and is slated for 2019.
