Its latest anime film adaptation, Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic is set for a release in Japan on January 21.
The manga has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy since October 2006 and has printed over 23 million copies around the world.
According to the newest Oricon sales report for the week ended January 1, 2017, the 24th volume of Yana Toboso’s dark fantasy manga series Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler, released on December 27, sold a very good 326,163 copies in its first week, becoming the top-selling manga in the last week of 2016 in Japan.
