Tsubasa Yamaguchi, the creator of the award-winning Blue Period manga, announced on their Twitter account yesterday that the manga will be taking at least a one-month break from serialization in Monthly Afternoon because they contracted COVID-19.
Blue Period launched in June 2017 in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon seinen manga magazine, winning the 13th Manga Taisho award and the 44th Kodansha Manga Award for Best General Manga.
Yamaguchi explained that she hasn’t been feeling well since “the other day” and got a PCR test, which confirmed that she had COVID-19.
