Madhouse previously animated the Boogiepop light novel series into a 2000 television anime.
Seven Seas published the novel series’ first three volumes — Boogiepop and Others and the two-part Boogiepop Returns: VS Imaginator — and the sixth volume Boogiepop at Dawn from 2006-2008.
This year’s July issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh announced on May 26 that its new Boogiepop Returns: VS Imaginator manga will launch in the next issue on June 27.
Naoki Koshimizu (The Isolator: Realization of Absolute Solitude) is drawing the series based on author Kouhei Kadono and illustrator Kouji Ogata’s Boogiepop light novels.
