An earlier live-action film directed by Hideaki Anno and starring Eriko Satoh debuted in 2004, followed by a live-action Cutie Honey The Live television series starring Mikie Hara in in 2007.
The official website of Cutie Honey -Tears-, the new live-action film adaptation of Go Nagai’s Cutie Honey manga, began streaming a new trailer on Friday.
The manga has also inspired two television anime series, an animated movie, several original video animations (OVAs), and manga spin-offs.
The original manga ran from 1973-1974 in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine.
