Jennifer Rowe (penname Emily Rodda), the author of the Deltora Quest children’s fantasy book series, was honored with the Companion of the Order of Australia, the highest honor in the Order of Australia, on Friday.
Rodda’s book series inspired a 10-volume manga adaptation by artist Makoto Niwano from 2005 to 2008.
The series has aired on Hasbro and the Discovery Channel’s U.S. television channel The Hub, and also on Cartoon Network in Australia and New Zealand.
The novels also inspired a 65-episode television anime series that aired in Japan from 2007 through 2008.
