When production of the TV anime was announced in June 2018, the manga’s total circulation was reported as 2.5 million copies with 11 volumes, then the number grew to 12 million copies with 16 volumes by September 29, 2019, when the TV anime was ended.
As reported yesterday, Shueisha has also reported that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has become the second top-selling manga of 2019 by selling a massive 10.8 million copies, behind only Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece with 12.7 million copies.
Shueisha confirmed on November 27 that Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga will reach the accomplishment of 25 million copies printed with the release of its next 18th tankobon volume on December 4, 2019.
