Director Chad Stahelski: John Wick Franchise Plans Japanese Anime

In a preview for an upcoming episode of its podcast The Discourse, The Playlist website reported on Thursday that director Chad Stahelski revealed “a Japanese anime” project in the John Wick franchise.

According to The Playlist, the podcast referenced the franchise’s recent prequel televisions series The Continental, when Stahelski said there would be a second television series as well as an anime.

Variety reported in 2020 that Derek Kolstad, the writer of the first three John Wick films, is writing and producing a Splinter Cell “anime series” for Netflix and Ubisoft.
