The Dragon Ball Super: Broly anime film sold more than 1 million tickets in Japan as of Wednesday, six days after the film opened on December 14.
The film’s story takes place after the events of the Dragon Ball Super television anime.
The film has now earned more than 1.3 billion yen (about US$11.6 million).
The film adds two original characters: Chirai (voiced by Nana Mizuki) and Remo (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita).
