Funimation plans to bring the first entry in the Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution anime film trilogy to theaters in the United States next month, with English-subtitled screenings scheduled for February 5, followed by the English dub on February 7.
The Hi-Evolution films take place 10 years prior to the first Eureka Seven anime and depict the events surrounding The First Summer of Love.
Hisatoshi Shimizu (episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Eureka Seven AO) directs the first film, which originally debuted at last year’s Otakon before opening in Japan in September.
