The not-so-surprising collaboration between Hideaki Anno’s classic mecha anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Hideaki Anno’s new kaijuu movie, Godzilla Resurgence, continues, and this time, convenience store chain, 7-Eleven is entering the fray with a brand new figure, featuring Mecha Godzilla donning Eva-01’s signature colors.
Using Bandai’s Movie Monster Series version of Mecha Godzilla (Kiryuu), 7-Eleven is distributing only 4,000 of these figures, which will be coming along with movie tickets that are pre-ordered in their convenience stores.
Originally launched as a joke during April Fools’ Day, the collaboration has gotten a bit more serious with a Banpresto Ichiban Kuji collaboration.
Made of PVC, each figure measures in at 17cm in height and are scheduled for release on 29 July 2016.
