Adult game developer HimeyaSoft filed for bankruptcy on February 8 after reportedly incurring debts of about 150 million yen (about US$1.3 million).
Last year, RED FLAGSHIP’s El-Dia label released EVE Burst Error R, a PC and PlayStation Vita port of the original game.
HimeyaSoft formed in Tokyo in 1991, established its C’s Ware brand in 1993, and released EVE Burst Error, the first game in its EVE series, for PC-98 computers in 1995.
According to Tokyo Shōkō Research, HimeyaSoft peaked in August 1998, taking in one billion yen (about US$8.8 million) in revenue in one month.
