"Final Fantasy" Kicks Off 30th Anniversary with an Opening Ceremony in January

Square Enix has some big plans in store for the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise, and it’s all set to begin with an opening ceremony on January 31, 2017.

While there aren’t any specifics about what will be shown and who will attend, that date also happens to be the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII’s initial release.

The guests that do show up will participate in talks, and 200 Square Enix members will get a chance to attend by signing up online.
