Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi announced during a Mistwalker livestream this month that he is planning a new development company that will be located in Roppongi, Tokyo.
He went on to direct four other games in the Final Fantasy franchise, and was the producer on nine more until Final Fantasy X-2.
He was employed as director of planning and development and created the first Final Fantasy role-playing game.
Sakaguchi was an employee at Square since its inception as an independent company in 1986.
