For Once, Annual Hideaki Anno Lantern Might Not Suggest Any Current Work For "Evangelion" Creator

Every year, husband and wife Hideaki (Evangelion) and Moyocco ( Insufficient Direction,Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen) Anno contribute lantern art to Bonbori Matsuri, a midsummer festival at Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū shrine in Kamakura.

Hideaki does, generally oblique, references to current projects.

In 2011 and 2012 Mr. Anno previewed Evangelion 3.0, with then strange new mech designs. in 2013 it was English “The wind rises, we must try to live.”
