The impression given is that they’re working off of the DVD masters for it and not giving it a true high definition release but claiming it’s better than the DVD release quality since it doesn’t have to be as compressed.
Frontier Works announced recently that they’re bringing out Onegai My Melody on Blu-ray, though as mentioned before there’s a certain level of wariness to it with how it’s being solicited on Amazon.
