It then sold 598,000 tickets for 806 million yen (about US$7.59 million) from Saturday to Sunday, or 69.7% of the first (non-holiday) weekend total of One Piece Film Gold, the previous franchise film.
The film earned 8.4% more and sold 15.3% more tickets over its first four days than One Piece Film Gold.
The film has earned over 5 billion yen (about US$46.7 million) and has sold more than 3.7 million tickets as of Sunday.
Funimation announced on Tuesday that it will screen the One Piece Stampede anime film in theaters in the United States and Canada this fall.
