Girls & Panzer Film Is #4 in 1st-Week Sales Among All Anime BDs to Date

  • The limited special edition Blu-ray Disc of the Girls und Panzer anime film sold 162,361 copies in its first week and topped Oricon’s overall Blu-ray Disc chart for the May 23-29 week.

  • The Girls und Panzer film opened in Japan last November, and it ranked #38 in the top 39 highest grossing Japanese domestic films of 2015 (tied with Grasshopper).

  • As of May 29, the Girls und Panzer film has sold 1,264,313 tickets for a total of 2,136,832,984 yen (US$19,229,958) after 28 weeks in the theaters.
