The short commemorates the 50th anniversary of the original Godzilla vs. Hedorah film, which opened in 1971.

The official YouTube channel for the Godzilla franchise began streaming a video on Wednesday, and it reveals that the new short “Godzilla vs. Hedorah” (“Gojira vs. Hedorah”) will debut on November 3 on the official YouTube channel starting at around 6:15 p.m. JST as part of the online Godzilla Fes 2021 event.
“Godzilla vs. Hedorah” is the second installment in the “Gojira Gojira Fes ni Arawaru” tokusatsu (special effects) series.
