Universal Studios Japan announced today that one of the Goombas that was part of Super Nintendo World was blown off a stack of other Goombas on August 9 after strong winds from the remnants of Typhoon Lupit swept through western Japan.
Luckily for those visiting Universal Studios Japan, the Goomba fell several meters into an area where attendees aren’t allowed to enter, leaving no one injured and no 1-up’s lost.
USJ is currently investigating how the Goomba fell off its comrades, and for once, not looking at Mario as the suspect.
