‘Haikara-san ga Tooru’ Manga Getting Theatrical Anime Release

  • One such case is Kodansha’s annoucement that the 1975 series Haikara-san ga Tooru from Waki Yamamoto is getting a theatrical anime adaptation in 2017.

  • The original manga was serialized in Shoujo Friend and had eight compiled volumes originally before getting a four-volume bunko edition.

  • While older manga typically don’t get anime adaptations these days, there are some good moments where they do.
