According to the newest Oricon sales report, the 23rd volume of Haruichi Furudate’s sport manga Haikyu!!, released on October 4 in Japan, sold 478,598 copies in its first week, becoming the top-selling manga tankobon of the week ended October 9.
It was twice more than the week’s second top-seller, the 21st volume of Yuki Midorikawa’s Natsume Yujincho with 225,320 copies, but 49,819 down from the first week sales of the previous 22nd volume released in July.
Last week’s winner, the 12th volume of Chica Umino’s Sangatsu no Lion/March comes in like a lion drops to 5th with 111,801 copies.
