This October marks 35 years since Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno released his first commercial anime work – Gunbuster, also known as Aim for the Top!
Gunbuster was released as a six-episode OVA series from October 7, 1988, to July 7, 1989, with Hideaki Anno in the director’s chair at Gainax.
Now at the top of his career, his work will be heading back to theaters in Japan alongside the 20th anniversary OVA series Diebuster for the very first time.
