This year’s 20th issue of Shueisha’s Margaret magazine announced on Tuesday that Mika Yamamori’s Hirunaka no Ryūsei (Daytime Shooting Star) manga is getting a live-action film adaptation that will open in Japan in March 2017.
The manga centers on Suzume Yosano, a high school girl who moves from the countryside to Tokyo.
The manga’s 12 main volumes and one spinoff volume have 1.93 million copies in print, and the paid digital version has 500,000 downloads.
On her first day in Tokyo, she gets lost, and a man helps her.
