According to a report on Deadline, Hollywood is preparing to tackle some of the more obscure Sega material, with a film adaptation currently planned for 1991 Sega Mega Drive game Rent A Hero.
The original game mixed action-RPG elements with 2D fighting game combat.
The adaptation has Tomoya Suzuki of Stories International—the collaborative production arm of Sega Group and Hakuhodo DY Group—teaming up with filmmakers Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine) and Jeff Morris.
