Jordan Peele in the Mix for ‘Akira’ Directorial Duties

  • The latest one to get the nod as being in the mix as a potential candidate according to The Tracking Board is that of Jordan Peele.

  • The film is based on the manga by Katsuhiro Otomo who directed it and co-write the screenplay with Izo Hashimoto for the anime feature film adaptation.

  • With the attention on Ghost in the Shell this weekend, Warner Bros. is still looking to get its Akira property up and running.
