Poplar Bunko announced on Thursday that Yutaka Hara’s Kaiketsu Zorori children’s book series is inspiring a new television anime in spring 2020.
The books have inspired a 1993 film, a 2004-2005 television anime series, a second television anime from 2005 to 2007, and a second film in 2006.
The anime will be the first television anime adaptation of the manga in 13 years since the second anime ended in 2007.
Hara began the book series in 1987 and published the 65th book on Thursday.
