56-year-old artist Keiichi Tanaka’s nonfiction manga Utsunuke: Utsu Tunnel wo Nuketa Hito-tachi (People who have exited the depression tunnel) will get its web drama adaptation this fall.
Depression is seen as one of the serious societal problems in Japan, where over one million people are being treated for mental illness.
The manga was first serialized digitally on Bungei Kadokawa from 2014, then its print edition was published in 2017.
