Kunihiko Ikuhara Wins Lawsuit Against Woman Claiming Plagiarism

  • The court ordered her to pay Ikuhara 1.21 million yen (about US$8,500) in damages for defamation and obstruction of business.

  • The group’s first album Kimi no Seishun wa Kagayaite Iru ka released in June 2022, the same month that Ikuhara filed the lawsuit.

  • Bengoshi.com reported on Wednesday that Revolutionary Girl Utena and Penguindrum director Kunihiko Ikuhara won his lawsuit against an unknown woman who alleged that he had plagiarized her work.
