With many new films not opening for a few more weeks due to current circumstances, TOHO Cinemas announced on June 30 that it’s opening week will b populated by anime films from Kyoto Animation, starting with the Munto anime film and The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya on the cinemas opening day, July 3.
TOHO Cinemas Ikebukuro is also running an Evangelion 3.0+1.0 collaboration with the upcoming film, which would’ve been showing in cinemas across Japan had it not been delayed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
