The highly-anticipated live-action adaptation is directed by 52-year-old Katsuyuki Motohiro, who helmed the mega-hit police comedy drama franchise Odoru Daisousasen/Bayside Shakedown (1997-2012) and the Psycho-Pass anime series (2012-2015).
Yuya Takahashi, who previously worked on the manga’s TV anime adaptation and stage play adaptations (2015-2016), is again attached to write the screenplay. and 13-year-old Kirato Wakayama as the youngest Chutaro.
It is also confirmed that its theatrical release day in Japan is postponed from the previously-announced February 2018 to March 21, 2018.
