Kadokawa began streaming a television commercial for the live-action film of Honobu Yonezawa’s mystery novel Hyouka on Friday.
Funimation announced in April that it had licensed the Hyouka television anime series, and it released the first part of the series on home video with an English dub on July 4.
Yonezawa also wrote the Shōshimin mystery novel series that has had several manga adaptations, including Anko Manjūya’s Shunki Gentei Ichigo Tart Jiken (The Case of the Springtime Limited-Edition Strawberry Tart).
In the club, he gets close to the truth about an incident, involving a female member’s uncle, which happened 33 years ago.
